Collaborations & Support Overview

The CHBMR operates within  the School of Business at UPEI and has close ties with the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) located on the same campus. Since 1986, the AVC has excelled in its role of protecting public health and food safety through providing education, research and services. The AVC focuses on fostering innovation and academic excellence, and are dedicated to educating the veterinary medicine and research leaders of the future.

The bioscience community within Atlantic Canada has been beneficial for the CHBMR to connect with industry, academia and government members from the region. The CHBMR has benefited from the support given by these outlets and, in turn, strives to be a useful tool for their development within the biotechnology industry.

Outside of Atlantic Canada, the CHBMR has many valuable and respected international contacts in the industry that have frequented the Atlantic region to collaborate on research, present workshops and deliver interactive lectures. The CHBMR also conducts research in collaboration with international experts. For example, the CHBMR and Tufts CSDD have an academic collaboration for the purpose of enhancing their contribution to public knowledge and education on the basis of equality and mutual interest on topics that fall into pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and healthcare-related areas.

The CHBMR is open to forming new collaborations with scholarly researchers and organizations in the areas of health and biotech management research. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.
